Get Involved — Volunteer!

When adults volunteer, all students benefit! There are many opportunities for parents and community members to get involved!  Your help is needed!  Complete the Volunteer Interest form and we will be in touch with you. 

We have many programs that are one time events, or are spread throughout the school year.  However, both categories entail advanced planning by parent volunteers.  Many of which enjoy seeing the smiles on the students faces from being able to partake in it.  Or from seeing their parents making a display of positive involvement with their school.

Even if you do not believe you can fully commit to an event until the week/day of the activity, please sign up anyway.  In years past we have had to send SOS emails requesting parent involvement to make an activity happen for our students.

We have quite a few opportunities to chair, or co-chair with a fellow parent, to even just helping out...

Weekly events are loaded on our home page.  And the calendar has most of the tentative programs scheduled.


* Per TUSD, all volunteers are required to be fully vaccinated against Covid-19 (minimum two boosters) or will be required to submit a weekly negative Covid test from a medical professional to the front office. *

TRE Volunteer Opportunities

The PTA Volunteer Program is one of the best ways that parents can support the students and staff at our school.

Please review the brief descriptions of each volunteer area and indicate your preliminary interests. Your contact information will then be forwarded to the PTA board member or committee chair that is pulling together that activity and they will be in touch with you.

Cool Coyote Store
Help our students spend their Cool Coyotes by running the 'store' via our rolling kiosk by the snack tree facing their lunch tables.   If you have never done this before, it is a fun & great way to 'surprise' your child while interacting with other TRE Parents.  Fridays during their lunch 12pm - 1:15pm.

Chair & Co-Chair Positions

Many opportunities to be a Chair or Co-Chair on the below programs.  (Or as a general volunteer)

2nd VP Programs
Executive Board Position - Coordinate TRE PTA sponsored programs with teachers and vendors for both on and off-campus activities.
 
 
 
 
 
100 Mile Club
Chair or Co-Chair with a fellow parent our 100 Mile Club for 3rd-5th graders. ~5 spaced out assemblies highlighting students achievements throughout the year. Coordinate with a designated teacher for this PTA sponsored program and vendors.
 
 
Book Fair
Help organize and set up the spring book fair Book fair dates are TBD. One to two hour shifts are available.
 
Hospitality Team
Assist with ordering and/or set-up for various PTA events and teacher appreciation celebrations throughout the school year.
 
Laps with a loved one
Five alternating monthly events setting up coffee and muffins - create flyers to advertise. Have music on before school and allow parents and students to run laps before school.
 
Paws For a Cause
Coordinates with VP Ways & Means for TRE PTA's main FUNdraising program.
 
Read Across America
A month long reading fundraiser with a specific goal in mind. Last Year's goal was to raise PTA funds for a working marquee. (2021-22) We are looking to achieve that goal this year entirely this year.
 
 
 
 
 
Trunk or Treat
Help organize and setup our annual Trunk or Treat PTA Event. Including arranging optional family activities, food trucks, misc. items.
 
Rockys Read A Thon / Jog-A-thon.
Set up 99pledges information with date etc. Send out to the school community. Make a flyer for event. (PTA Executive Board still determining which option)
 
Walk to school day
Set up tables at front of school- create flyer- send out to community. One morning event.
 
Yearbook
Accumulate and organize pictures from TRE events throughout the school year to be supplied to our yearbook vendor
 
General Volunteer Opportunities
 
Art Masters Volunteers

Please see contact your child's teacher regarding sign ups for Art Masters.  
 
Kinder Garden / Landscape
Assist in the revival project of the Kinder area garden. Get the students involved and create a special TRE garden.
 
 
 
Library Volunteer
Assist in the school library. You will be contacted by the Volunteer Coordinator to schedule a time.
 
Partnerships
Develop business partnerships in our community that will support our PTA through donations.
 
Red Ribbon Week Volunteer
Join the Red Ribbon team to coordinate and execute the activities for Red Ribbon Week.
 
Running Club
Help as a coach or helper in two 8 week sessions on Wednesdays 1pm to ~3pm. (September 21st - November 10th & March 15th - May 10th) - You do not have to be a marathon runner for this. ** Co-Chair position available **
 
Yearbook Photos
Assist with organizing photos of school and grade level events from teachers, staff and parents. Work with PTA Executive Board with yearbook vendor. End of year distribution.
 
Memory Tiles
Annual TRE PTA event coordinated with Color Me Mine
 
Dad's Group
Multiple events throughout the school year that our TRE Dad's Group part takes in. Family Recess, BBQs, Dads & Donuts, etc...
